Create an Oracle Deck

Join artists Michelle Davidson and Rick de Yampert in creating a “community” oracle card deck at Hotel Cassadaga. Akin to tarot cards, oracle cards are used by readers for divination, meditation and-or exploring the heart, mind and psyche of oneself or others. While tarot decks typically have a 78-card structure and follow traditional concepts, oracle decks are more free-form in design, concept, and approach. For this workshop, Michelle and Rick will guide participants in drawing inspiration from the divine spirit realm to spontaneously create cards with single words or short phrases, and simple drawings expressing your ideas and inspirations. After our creative session, we’ll mix up all the cards and every participant will blindly choose cards to have their own unique take-home deck. The workshop will close with Michelle and Rick leading each participant in a three-card reading from their own deck. Cost is $30 cash. All supplies included, and no art skills required.
