A Valentine’s Love Trance Sound Journey

Join Rick de Yampert for a Valentine’s Love Trance Sound Journey with live sitar, flutes, tongue drums, tribal percussion and ethereal synths, plus live readings of love poetry by Rumi, Yeats, Nikki Giovanni and others – and chocolates! Your destination – love! Romantic love, self-love, love of life. Couples or solo attendees are welcome. This one-hour encounter begins as patrons step into the intimate, soft-lit Séance Room. Participants can bring their own yoga mat, blanket or pillow, or sit in chairs or on the sofa while Rick performs soft trance music while intermittently reading love wisdom and poetry. Your journey will conclude with an encounter with Spirit: As trance music plays, patrons will choose a card from the deck Rumi: The Path of Love, receiving wisdom on life and love from the ancient Persian poet and Sufi mystic to meditate upon heading into Valentine’s Day and beyond. And then – chocolates for all! Cost is $25 cash only and held at Hotel Cassadaga. Space is limited and advance registration is recommended by calling 386-228-2323.
Bio
Rick de Yampert is a freelance writer, musician, artist and lecturer on metaphysical and spiritual matters. His book Crows and Ravens: Mystery, Myth, and Magic of Sacred Corvids was released by Llewellyn in March 2024.
Prior to freelancing, Rick was the arts, entertainment and music writer at daily newspapers including the Daytona Beach News-Journal in Florida, and the Tennessean in Nashville. He has interviewed such creators as Kurt Vonnegut, Yoko Ono, Ray Manzarek of the Doors, Janet Jackson, Shirley MacLaine and many others.
As a professional musician, Rick plays sitar, Native American flutes, djembe (African hand drum), tongue drums and guitar. He has performed at art festivals, cafes, yoga sessions and sacred events throughout Central Florida.
As a lecturer, Rick presents programs and workshops on various spiritual and metaphysical topics at Hotel Cassadaga, Unitarian Universalist churches, and other organizations and events.
